Keith Ellis
President and Owner
With more than two decades in custom home building, Keith brings his experience, a B.S. in Building Construction in May 1988 from Texas A&M, and a team of highly qualified craftspeople to every Ellis Custom Home. Keith currently sits on the National Home Builders Association Board of Directors and is a past president and current Builder Director of the Bryan/College Station Home Builders Association. In addition, he is a board member and Life Director of the Texas Association of Builders. Keith personally handles all areas of project management, including client consultation, project estimation, scheduling of trade contractors and acquisition of materials. Keith is married and has three children.
Eric Wendt
Project Manager
Eric's home-building experience is backed by a degree in Construction Science from Texas A&M University in 1993 and having worked since 1998 in the construction field. Eric also brings extensive knowledge and exceptional talent in custom cabinetry and woodworking to every job he oversees. Working as a project manager, Eric manages each detail to bring a project from plan to reality. Eric joined Ellis Custom Homes in October 2004. He is married, has two children, and in his spare time enjoys fishing, sculpture fabrication and building custom furniture.
Dave Johnson
Project Manager
Having over 30 years of construction supervision experience, Dave has an exceptional working knowledge of custom home building. He enjoys working with each client and ensuring that each project receives a high attention to detail. Dave joined Ellis Custom Homes in August 2008. Dave is married with two daughters and enjoys family time with his four grandchildren. He is a U. S. Navy veteran and his hobbies include a small woodworking shop in his home and building things for family and friends.
Jason Shryock
Project Manager
Jason brings over 15 years of construction experience to every job he oversees. He joined the Ellis Custom Homes team in May 2011. Jason has been working in construction in the Brazos Valley since college. Jason has experience in all aspects of the home-building process from project estimating to project completion. Jason is married with one daughter and enjoys spending his spare time with his family. His hobbies also include hunting and fishing. Jason holds a B.S. in Construction Science from Texas A&M University earned in May 1997.
Andrew Colson
Project Manager
Andrew has a background in material estimating and construction project budgeting and uses this knowledge to work in detail with architects, designers, homeowners and sub-contractors alike. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Construction Science in May 2012. Andrew joined the Ellis Custom Homes team in January of 2011. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, tubing, wakeboarding and watching sports.
Jennifer Moore
Office Manager
Jennifer has been working for custom homebuilders in the Brazos Valley since 2002. Her broad knowledge allows her to oversee details while working on contracts, draws, bids, budgets and scheduling. She coordinates multiple aspects of the custom home building process for a smooth, efficiently run office. A graduate from Sam Houston State University with a B.S. in Interior Design in May 2005, she manages the Ellis Custom Homes website, handles all areas of marketing, and helps clients research various selection options for their new home. Jennifer joined the Ellis Custom Homes team in September of 2009. She is married with two sons and enjoys spending her spare time watching her sons play sports.
Clydie Hughes
Accounting
With over 30 years experience in accounting, some of which includes having worked for Texas A&M University for over 17 years and for the George Bush Presidential Library Foundation for 9 years as well, Clydie manages the Ellis Custom Homes accounts payable and receivable as well as employee payroll. She handles business financial matters and coordinates all areas of insurance during the entire building process. Clydie joined the Ellis Custom Homes team in 2006. She is married with 2 children and 4 grandchildren. Clydie enjoys spending her spare time with her grandchildren and her hobbies include crochet, knitting, sewing, playing 42, bowling, running and dancing.
Desiree Engram
Interior Designer
Desiree is a Licensed Interior Designer with a B.S. in Interior Design and a B.A. in Drawing from Stephen F. Austin University in August 2006. She takes pleasure in guiding clients to make selections that will exemplify their personal style and help them create a house they will love to call home. Whether you are working with a designer of your choice, or just want some advice Desiree can help integrate your selections with the overall design concept of your home. Desiree joined the Ellis Custom Homes team in May of 2010. Desiree is married with two children and her hobbies include jewelry- making, drawing, scrapbooking and cabinetmaking.
Chris McNutt
Estimator
Chris has over 10 years experience in the construction industry in both commercial and residential projects. He handles on-screen material estimating and procuring proposals for bid projects. Chris joined the Ellis Custom Homes team in October of 2011. He is married with three children and his hobbies include spending time with his family, furniture restoration, carpentry projects and watching baseball. Chris holds a B.S. in Agriculture Development from Texas A&M University earned in August 2002.
